How to Play War

01:23
Watch more How to Play Card Games videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/180986-How-to-Play-War Not only is War a great way to pass the time with a friend, but it's so easy to learn that both children and adults can play. Step 1: Deal the cards Shuffle the deck and deal 26 cards to each player. Keep your cards face down and do not look at them. Step 2: Flip the top card Flip your top cards over at the same time. The card with the higher value wins, and the winner takes both cards, placing them face up at the bottom of their pile. Cards are ranked with the ace as the highest and two as the lowest. Step 3: Continue playing Continue flipping. When you reach the cards that are face up, shuffle your cards and start at the top. Step 4: Declare war If you flip two cards of equal value, war begins. Both players take a card from the top of their pile and set it face down on top of the first card, then take a third card and flip it face up. The player whose up card has the higher value wins all six cards. Tip There is no winning strategy for War; the game is based on chance. Step 5: Continue the war If the two new cards are also a tie, war is declared again and the process repeats until one of the players has a card of higher value. The first player to capture all 52 of the cards wins. Did You Know? European playing cards date back to 1377 and may have originated in China.

How to Play Crazy Eights

01:39
Watch more How to Play Card Games videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/217664-How-to-Play-Crazy-Eights All you need is a deck of cards and a friend to play the fun game of Crazy Eights. Step 1: Deal the cards. For two players, deal seven cards each from a standard deck. Tip If you use more than two players, use two decks and deal five cards instead of seven. Step 2: Place the remaining cards face down to form the stockpile. Turn the top card – known as the upcard – face up to start a discard pile. Tip If the upcard is an eight, mix it back into the stockpile and turn up the next card. Step 3: Start with the player to the dealer's left and match either the rank or suit of the upcard with one of your cards. Place it on top of the discard pile. Step 4: Play an eight at any time if you don't have the correct rank or suit. The person who plays the eight chooses a new suit for the next player to follow. Tip Make the game Crazy Jacks by making jacks – or any other card – wild. Step 5: Draw from the stockpile if you cannot match the upcard. Keep drawing until you have a card you can play or the stockpile runs out. Step 6: Pass play to the next person. Play ends when the last card from someone's hand is played or when no one can match the upcard. Step 7: Score 50 points for eights, 10 points for face cards, and other cards at face value. The person with the lowest score is the winner. Did You Know? Did you know? The French were the first to use the four standard suits for playing cards that we use today – diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs.

Like these Gambling Lessons !!! Check out the official app http://apple.co/1HCxrup Watch more How to Play Poker videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/514999-Poker-Rules-Poker-Tutorials Hey, I'm Nicky Numbers, Professional Poker Player, and today, I'm going to talk to you about the rules of poker. Hold em is a game where each player starts with two down cards. However, before they even deal, there are two players that are forced to put out bets, known as the blinds. There is typically a small blind, and a big blind, and these are forced bets that players have to put out, before the hand is even dealt. Each hand, the blinds move from player to player, around the table, so that it's fair. After the blinds are posted, which means the blinds have been put up, and actually are out in front of the players, the hand begins. The dealer gives each player two cards, one at a time. So, the cards are dealt, and each player is given two down cards. They then have to choose whether to stay in the hand, or fold. A round of betting then takes place starting immediately after the big blind, which is known as under the gun, because they're forced to act first. Players choose to either stay in the hand by calling the big blind, meaning they put in the same amount of chips, or increasing the size of the wage of this round, often based on their hole cards, by raising. Alternatively, and most commonly, players decide not to participate in the hand, put in no further chips into the pot, and fold their cards. Once all the players have acted, three cards are dealt, known as the flop. These are community cards that any player in the hand can use. After the three community cards, known as the flop, appear, another round of betting takes place, except this time, there's no forced bets, like there are pre-flop, with the blinds. Players have two options, they can check, or they can bet. Checking is when you choose to let the other players act before you, typically indicated by saying, "I check," or tapping the table. If all the players in the hand check, then the next card comes, which nobody put money to see. The next card, is known as the turn. If instead of checking, one of the players had bet, then they would force the other players in the hand to commit more chips in order to continue, otherwise, those players would have to fold, and the player who made the bet would be awarded the pot. Otherwise, if one or more players call the bet, the hand will continue to the turn. The turn is another additional community card, that unlike the flop, comes off as one card, instead of three. However, like the flop, a betting round takes place in the same way. If all the players in the hand check on the turn, or there's a bet, and it's called, the final community card comes, known as the river. The river is another single community card after which a round of betting takes place, just like it did on the flop, and the turn. The only difference is, that after this round of betting, if two or more players are still in the hand, then a showdown occurs, where all the players still in the hand, after the river, show their cards, and the dealer awards the pot to the best five card hand. So, there you go, the down and dirty rules to poker. Like Mike Sexton says, Poker Hall of Famer, and Ambassador for the World Poker Tour, "It takes a minute to learn, and a lifetime to master."

Follow these instructions for a fun game for all ages. Step 1: Deal 7 cards per player; create a Draw pile with remaining cards Shuffle the deck and deal seven cards, face down, to each player. Stack the remaining cards face down to form a Draw pile. Step 2: Turn up first card in Draw pile Turn over the first card in the Draw pile to create a Discard pile. Step 3: Have the person to your left match the Discard card Have the person to the dealer's left match some aspect of the Discard pile card -- either the number, color, or symbol. Place this card face up on top of the Discard pile. Tip Play a Wild Card anytime. Tell everyone what color you want the next person to match. Step 4: Draw from the Draw pile if no match is made Draw one card from the top of the Draw pile if no match can be made with the card on the Discard pile. The drawn card can be played if it matches the Discard pile card. Step 5: Pass to next player Pass the play to the next player after a match is made or a card is drawn from the Draw pile. Continue counterclockwise, matching the number, color, or symbol with the Discard pile or drawing from the Draw pile. Step 6: Shout "Uno!" when you have one card left Shout "Uno!" when you only have one card remaining in your hand. Play until one person is out of cards. Tip Penalize anyone who forgets to shout "Uno!" when they have only one card left by having them draw two cards from the Draw pile. Step 7: Add values of cards in opponents' hands for the score Add the values of the cards remaining in everyone else's hands, with number cards counting as face value; Draw Two, Reverse, and Skip cards counting for 20 points; and Wild Cards counting for 50 points. Tip Shorten the game by playing only one hand, with the person running out of cards first being the winner. Step 8: Continue playing until someone reaches 500 points Start a new game, and continue playing until someone reaches 500 points. Did You Know? UNO was created in 1971 by Merle Robbins, a barber in Ohio. He and his family made the first decks of UNO cards on their kitchen table and sold them at his barbershop.

Step 2: Locate an opponent Locate an opponent to play with, such as a friend or family member. Tip While you only need two people to play, teams of several players can make each duel more challenging and fun. Step 3: Shuffle and cut decks Shuffle and cut each deck and place them face down on the game mat. Step 4: Flip coin Flip a coin to decide play order. The winner can choose to either receive or challenge. Step 5: Draw and duel Draw your first five cards and begin the duel by placing the cards face up and deciding a winner based on the card's information. Tip Since the number of possible play combinations can number into the thousands, an official rulebook may be needed for beginners. JAH Plays - Guess Who? Shuffle as a card game for 4 Year Olds

12:56
Hey everyone, today Jessica Alice Hartwell Plays Guess Who? Shuffle Edition as a card game for 4 year olds Follow Jessica on Twitter @ http://twitter.com/JAHPlaysUK She was very excited to play and film it for you guys. She is nearly 4 so cant quite explain how she feels yet but is getting there. Daddy Review: Plays exactly the same as the original however is a lot more portable and cheaper. On the flip side there is a longer setup time and not as fun to flip over a card as it was to slap the faces down. I personally prefer this version as it takes up very little space and can taken anyway to play. JAH Verdit: PLAY AGAIN! (after My Little Pony...) Daddy Verdit: Must have game for the little ones. Recommended Age: 4+ JAH Age: 3y11m Players: 2 RRP: £6.99 Why is JAH doing this? Jessica wants to help other Mommy and Daddies know if their children would like these games at such a young age. Hopefully the reactions and flow of the game will help you decide if its suitable or not for your child.

7 Rules You May Have Missed In UNO The Card Game - How To Play Correctly

06:14
7 Rules You May Have Missed In UNO the Card Game. Genre: Family Board Games Hand Management Take That Mechanism Players: 2-10 Designer: Merle Robbins Publisher: Mattel How to Play UNO UNO is a card game based on the public domain card game Crazy Eights. It is a game that has lived on shelves and in the nostalgic memories for decades and decades. Many people who play UNO have often changed, adapted or house ruled the game over time. In this video we examine some of the widely overlooked rules to this game and we explore how this game was meant to be played. Some of these rules you may be familiar with and others you may not even know. This video aims to shed some light over the official rules for the original intention of the game. The aim in a game of UNO is for players to empty their entire hand of cards throughout each round of gameplay. The winner of each round then gains points equal to the face up value of the cards remaining in their opponent's hands. The first player over several rounds to accumulate 500 points wins the game. The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way. Shithead the Card Game

14:47
This video is about my variation of Shithead. It covers the basics of play and the power cards that are used. This is the first video that covers how the game is played out and I am posting a second video that will cover some of the other little nuances that I didn't get a chance to cover. If anyone has questions or needs clarity on any of the rules, please leave a comment or message me directly. I'll leave the link to Twitter until I get a better set up. Mobile.twitter.com/ShitheadCards As someone pointed out, I goofed. This was a stacked deck for demonstrable purposes and I didn't cover what happens if you don't have a card that can be played from your hand. If you cannot make a legal play, you have to pick up the entire pile of cards so far. Since I'm here, I made this for people who have already known how to play, but like me, was looking for new variations to use. I should apologize because that was the frame of mind I was in when making this. I was more intent on making the Cut Throat video which is my actual variation on the game, but I understand my way of playing, i.e., picking first before playing and such, differs enough from any other I played that I wanted to cover those points in-depth. I hope this doesn't deter anyone from trying out my set of rules. And I promise, Cut Throat is where its at anyway. Namaste

Witcher 3: How to Play Gwent

12:25
I've thrown together a very beginner level tutorial on how to play Gwent, the in-game card game in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! ▶Be sure to subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/RobPlaysThoseGames ▶Become a Patron! - http://www.patreon.com/RobPlaysThatGame ▶Live streams on Twitch! - http://www.twitch.tv/RobPlaysThatGame ▶Twitter: http://www.Twitter.com/RobPlays ▶Facebook: http://www.Facebook.com/RobPlaysThatGame ▶Instagram http://www.instagram.com/RobPlaysThatGame ▶My website! - http://www.RobPlaysThatGame.com Gwent is the new in-game deck building card game in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. With over 150 collectable cards, you can explore the world of The Witcher 3 and challenge NPCs to a round or two of Gwent, even betting in-game currency on the outcome. The basics of Gwent are simple, but they leave a lot of room for complex strategy. At the beginning of ever game of gwent, the game automatically draws ten cards from each players custom deck. For the most part, these ten cards are the only ten cards you'll have for EVERY round of the game. Your hand will usually consist of combatant cards (close combat, ranged, or siege), weather cards, and in some instances, special cards. A flip of the coin will determine who goes first. Starting with the first player, the two players will take turns putting cards down on the battlefield. Each combatant card will have a power value assigned to it. Weather cards will effect the power levels of each type of combatant (frost will hurt close combat, fog will hurt ranged, and rain will hurt siege. Clear weather cards remove these status effects.) Once one of the players chooses to pass (or runs out of cards), the other player will get to place cards until they to decide to pass. After both sides have passed, the side with the higher power value wins the round. The winner of the game is the first to two round wins. Again, the important factor here is that the initial 10 cards you draw will for the most part be all that you have to play with, so it's vital to NOT play all 10 of your cards in round one, or else you'll be left with nothing to fight round two with. It essentially turns a game of luck into a tricky game of risk vs. reward. In some cases it will actually be beneficial to surrender a round and let the opponent win, in order to save good cards for your new round.
